Ingredients
Method
- Melt the milk chocolate in the microwave in short bursts until smooth.
- Break the potato chips into coarse pieces and gently fold them into the melted chocolate until every piece is coated.
- Transfer to a parchment-lined 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) pan and spread into an even layer. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes, until set.
- Melt the white chocolate with the heavy cream in the microwave in short bursts, stirring between each one, until smooth and even.
- Pour the white chocolate over the milk chocolate layer and gently smooth the top.
- Arrange the fresh raspberries over the white layer and press them in gently.
- Refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours, until fully set (overnight is best).
- Lift out of the pan, cut into bars with a sharp knife, and serve.
Notes
For clean, neat slices, put the bars in the freezer for 15–20 minutes before cutting. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Tips
- Use short microwave bursts. White chocolate especially can scorch quickly.
- Break the chips into coarse pieces, not crumbs, so you get crunch in every bite.
- Pat the raspberries dry before adding them so they don't make the white chocolate watery.
- Milk chocolate → semisweet or dark chocolate for a less sweet bar.
- Fresh raspberries → other fresh berries, such as sliced strawberries.
- Use plain, salted, classic-cut potato chips. Avoid flavored chips.
